1. Who we are
Keeybod is made by Keeybod LLC, a company in Florida. This page covers the Keeybod iPhone app and the keeybod.com website. By using them, you agree to this page.
2. What the app keeps on your phone
Your account. Your phone number, first name, last name, and a 4-digit PIN. You can also turn on Face ID or Touch ID. There is no Keeybod account on our server. Your account lives on your phone.
Your profile. Birth date and sex, if you choose to add them.
Your care. Visit recordings, summaries, your medicine list, appointments, and reminders.
Family. If you add a family member, their name, birth date, sex, visits, and medicines are kept on your phone too, in their own profile.
3. What leaves your phone, and why
A visit recording. When you stop a recording, it goes to our server over an encrypted connection. There it is turned into text, and then into your easy-to-read summary and medicine list. Your current medicine list goes with it, so the summary can tell what changed. Your phone number goes with it too, so only your phone can pick up the finished summary.
A medicine label photo. If you use the camera to add a medicine, the photo goes to our server to read the label. The photo is used only to read the label. It is not saved on our server.
A provider search. When you look up your provider, the name you type goes to our server, which checks the public U.S. provider registry.
A crash report. If the app crashes, a report goes to Sentry, a company that helps us find the bug. Before it leaves your phone, the app removes names, emails, birth dates, and medicine names. The report has no health information in it.
Nothing else leaves your phone. We do not collect your location, contacts, or photos, and we do not track how you use the app.
4. Who helps us
Amazon Web Services runs our server and the AI that writes your summary. AssemblyAI turns speech into text. Both have signed a HIPAA agreement with Keeybod that says they must protect your information the way the law requires. Our server deletes its copy of a recording within 7 days. AssemblyAI deletes its copy within 3 days.
Sentry receives crash reports only, with no health information.
This website is hosted by Vercel. When you join the pilot list or use the contact form, Resend delivers your message to our inbox.
5. HIPAA
Keeybod is built to follow HIPAA, the U.S. health privacy law. The companies that handle your recording for us have signed HIPAA agreements with Keeybod. If a clinic gives Keeybod to its patients, we sign the same kind of agreement with that clinic. We protect your information the same way no matter how you got the app.
6. What we never do
We never sell your information. We never show you ads. We never send your visits to your doctor's office, your insurance company, or anyone else. Only you can share them.
7. What you control
Share. You can share your summary and medicine list as a PDF with anyone you choose.
Delete. You can delete any visit from your phone. You can remove a family member's profile. If you delete the app, everything in it is deleted from your phone.
Back up. You can make a backup file of your Keeybod information. It is locked with your PIN. It is yours, and it is never sent to us.

8. How long we keep things
Your information stays on your phone until you delete it. Server copies of recordings are deleted within 7 days. Messages you send us through the website stay in our inbox so we can reply.
9. Who can use Keeybod
You must be 18 or older to have a Keeybod account. A parent or caregiver can keep a child's visits inside their own account.
10. If you are outside the U.S.
Our server is in the United States. If you use Keeybod from another country, your recording is sent to and handled in the U.S.
11. Changes to this page
If we add something new that changes what we collect, we will update this page first and tell you in the app before it starts.
