Trust & privacy

We built Keeybod for patients first. Here is exactly what happens to your information.

What happens to your recording.

1

You record on your phone.

After you ask your provider, you tap Record.

2

It goes to our server over a secure connection.

There it is turned into text, then into your easy-to-read summary and medicine list.

3

Your summary comes back to your phone.

That's what you read and use. The recording itself stays on your phone too, until you delete the visit.

4

The server copies are deleted.

Our server deletes its copy within 7 days, and the company that turns speech into text deletes its copy within 3 days. Nobody listens to the recording, and there is no way to play it back.

Who helps us.

Two companies do the technical work: Amazon Web Services runs our server, and AssemblyAI turns speech into text. Both have signed a HIPAA agreement with Keeybod that says they must protect your information the way the law requires.

What we never do.

We never sell your information. We never show you ads. We never send your visits to your doctor's office, your insurance company, or anyone else. Only you can share them.

What you control.

You can share your summary and medicine list as a PDF with anyone you choose. You can delete any visit from your phone.

The law.

Keeybod is built to follow HIPAA, the U.S. health privacy law. Our full Privacy Policy and Terms of Use are here too.
